Since 1984, COMEC has worked to promote the safety and welfare of children by providing free, education- and prevention-oriented programs to families and the community.
COMEC helps families respond to child-safety concerns, strengthens prevention through community education, and connects children and caregivers with practical support.
That mission is carried out through programs involving missing and runaway children, family-custody concerns, parent and child counseling, behavioral and substance-use referrals, safety education, and bullying prevention.

COMEC announced Greg Bethel as Executive Director and Philip Boals as President of the Board of Directors in its current leadership release.
Greg brings more than 20 years of corporate, human-resources, and community experience. Before becoming Executive Director, he was COMEC’s longest-tenured board member and served as vice president.
His leadership priorities include strategic fundraising, stronger partnerships, and expanding COMEC’s ability to serve children and families.
Philip brings nearly three decades of experience in real estate valuation, banking, finance, land surveying, development consulting, and organizational leadership.
His board leadership focuses on governance, public presence, partnership development, fundraising, and long-term sustainability.
