COMEC has been serving the Shelby County community since 1984 – over 27 years. We assist families with children up to age 18. Our projects include assistance with runaways, parent/child counseling, rehabilitation program referrals (drugs & behavioral issues), child safety seminars, internet safety seminars, bullying seminars, free child drug testing, free drug test kits for parents who want to test their children at home, and assisting parents with custodial issues or child abduction by a family member.
All COMEC services are provided free of charge to anyone needing our services.

The COMEC Greater Opportunity for Additional Learning (GOAL) program provides life skill classes to juveniles who are held in Detention at the Shelby County Juvenile Court. We also maintain a display of missing children from Tennessee in the Juvenile Court building.
With your support COMEC will be able to continue providing these valuable services to the community at no cost.
